Environmental caps are available on request and provide complete IP67 protection on unmated connectors.
The use of protective caps results in:
- Extended life span of the connectors as the mating threads are protected against damage from impacts;
- Improved safety as contacts are protected against dust and water even when the connectors are not mated.

Dust cap lacing

For positive lacing, the IP67 caps are supplied with a special high-resistance lanyard made up of seven stainless strands, coated with anti-scraping black teflon tubing. On cable connectors, the lanyard is laced to a specific housing on the connector’s backshell.
